Re: Fishing Rods
If you are looking for an all around rod you can't go wrong with a 6-6 MH action rod IMO-with that you can pretty much cover all the bases.
for the specifics you mentioned, these are my preferences: spinnerbaits/worms: 6-6 MH Buzzbaits: 6' M Carolina rig: 7' H Crankbaits: 6-6 M composite rod-graphite butt section with a glass tip. |

Re: Fishing Rods
1. 7' m/h
2. 7' -7'6" hvy 3. 7' M 4. 7' m/h Length for the most part is a lot of personal preference, but there are certain disadvantages and advantages to longer and shorter rods. Fore the most part I use a general rule of thumb, when debating the use of each action. Treble hooked baits I opt for a medium action, single hooked baits I prefer at at least a medium heavy to a heavy action. |

Re: Fishing Rods
I have a rod that very few people have probably heard of. It is called a HookHider Rod. I got them at the Indianapolis Boat, Sport and Travel Show last year. They are really nice IM8 rods, with a great feel to them but a fairly stiff back to get great leverage. They are unfortunately, pretty expensive. Here is the link.
www.hookhider.com P.S. They are a sponsor for my company so I may be able to get you a reduced price if you are interested. The owner of HookHider si a very good friend of mine. Nice guy. Hope this helps. Catch em up Brian |

Re: Fishing Rods
spinnerbait-7'MH
car.rig- 7' MH Crankbaits- 6'6" or 7' Worm- 7' Pretty much just like the feel of the 7' rods. Guess when you get used to a certain rod and become versatile with it why switch. All my rods are BPS except for my 1 ugly stick-cant break it, so I cant replace it. 8) |

Re: Fishing Rods
Spinnerb8s: 6' M
Buzzbaits: 7' MH Composite C-Rig: 7'MH Crankbaits: 7'M Composite Worms: 6'6" MH All can be found at www.falconrods.com Note: if fishing open water I will use a slightly longer 6'4" MH rod for spinnerbaits. These are simply my opinion based on what I have found fits my style of fishing best. What works for me, may not work for you. Charles |

Re: Fishing Rods
I only have 2 6.5' rods the rest are 7'-8' I like the smaller rods for delacate stuff or back ups for missed fish. seems to me i miss less fish since I went to the longer stiffer poles.
but I think what It boils down to what are you comfortable with useing. I think it was easier for me to use the smaller poles when I was in the back of the boat. but since I have my own boat and I fish the front. The longer ones are growing on me. due to I have the room to fish with what ever I want hope that helps Dan AKA 2canbass |

Re: Fishing Rods
Hands down my favorite all around rod for spinner baits, worming, crank baits, and Carolina rigging is the G-loomis IMX MBR783. When I go farm pond fishing and can only carry one rod, this is my first choice. You will find plenty of power, great sensitivity, and it is light weight so you can fish all day long. I have purchased many rods and I keep coming back to my 783.
