Default Little Mud Puppy

Mud Puppy
The Mud Puppy was made by the C.C. Roberts Bait Co. The first Mud Puppy came out around 1918. There were 2 sizes and the older ones will have tack or painted eyes, then glass, and then the newest will have decal eyes.

Newer Mud Puppy with decal eyes. Hand painted fins and gills. Spring hook release.

Really awsome box.

The paper that comes in the box. Shows the models and the hook release. When a fish hit the Mud Puppy, the wooden body would come off so the fish didn't have any leverage to escape. After the fisherman had gotten the fish, he/she would go pick up the body. Pretty nifty.
