Default More opinions wanted

Everyone has an opinion and bass anglers always seem to have an opinion regarding the "best" fishing lures. So here is my question "If you had to pick your three favorite bass lures, which three would you select?"

If you have an opinion, please be specific (don't just say spinnerbait, crankbait, flukes). Instead, please mention the brand, color, size, ect.

NOTE: I admit that this thread is somewhat self-serving (I may borrow a suggestion or two). Nevertheless, I thought that perhaps I may stir up some good discussion

I appreciate your thoughts . . . .

I see that your from New Jersey. I often fish a private lake in Denville, New Jersey and seem to get a good bite on crankbaits. Usually, I will throw the Rapala DT-4's and DT-6's in Shad or Bluegill color. What color Mann's crank are you throwing? I think I might pick up one of them and fish it in the Denville lake.

W2BFishing,
I used the one that looks like it should be called a parrot color. It is green blue, and yellow with some silver.

Default Hey crankybait

I gotta admit, I have some lures that I think look cool. Some work, some just plain suck. Anyway, for whatever it is worth, here is my list of three favorites for largemouth

1) Stickbait - 5" Senko (Baby Bass or Green Pumpkin) or this smelly green and brown swirled worm (I can't remember the name of the brand, only that it smells)

2) Strike King Tube - Baby Bass pattern

3) Rapala DT 4 or DT6 in Shad or Bluegill pattern

Actually, my Mom lives in Denville, New Jersey. I live in Morgantown, Pennsylvania (about 45 minutes - 1 hour outside of Philadelphia). One of my good high school friends lives in NJ so we often get together and fish in Denville and sometimes the Pequest. Recently, my NJ bud mentioned that there are smallmouth in the Raritan so he has mentioned the idea of hitting that sometime.

1.-zoom trick worm in watermelonseed and pumkinseed
2.-berkely power worm in pumkinseed and greenpumpkin
3.-manns draggin' finesse worm in shad, watermelonseed, and pumpkinseed

this is all that i have caught fish on last year, and i am probably gonna master soft plastics on t-rig,c-rig,and drop shot and split shot rigs, then move on to spinnerbaits, topwaters, and jigs.

Do you really catch em' on those x-raps. I bought into the hype and purchased one last year. Haven't caught a thing on it but it looks pretty in my tacklebox.

Anything in the box will work it just depends on how and where you use it.... For me its a weightless senko or a finesse worm and a spook.........

Yeah! I fish them on 17-20 lb.Stren fluorocarbon. I lost a ton of them to laydown trees. I spent probably a hundred bucks replacing them all year. I bought gold and perch ones as well, but got no bites with them yet. I was sold on them when I saw the Lindner's nailing smallies with them, but they catch them on anything. They are sponsored by Rapala, but they never lie to viewers.

Damn, only three baits. I can't participate in this because I can't contemplate such a thing.
1.) 3/8 oz. jig-n-pig (black and blue jig, #1 black pork frog)
2.) 1/2 rattle trap ( chrome/black back)
3.) 7 1/2" red shad worm (don't ask me why I picked red shad though cause I don't know).

Hart bleeding shad spinnerbait
Bandit 200 series Tenn. shad
Zoom watermelon purple glitter trick worm

I know we're only supposed to have 3, but I just had to say that a Zoom watermelon red baby brush hog is a close 3rd.
