There are a few that remain consistant favorites among most fisherman, but go with whatever color you feel good about.
Watermelon with red flake is one of my fav's. Any combo of green and red or green and chartruse. Darker colors are good too. Alot of guys say go with natural colors, light blue sometimes works good. Purple with black flakes is another good combo.....Just grab a few that you feel good about and give em a try... Good Luck BET |

I like the paca chunk for a trailer on a booyah jig. Its my all-time favorite jig and chunk combo. They make a camo and so does booyah and it looks awesome together. Black and blue is a good one too.

Alabama Craw has been producing for me on EVERY lake up here in PA/Ohio. It matched the forage craw EXACTLY on Mosquito Lake. I've been pairing Alabama Craw Paca-Craw up with a Hot Craw colored Mann's Stone Jig. That has quickly become my go to lure combo for putting fish in the boat.
Another thing I've noticed recently has been a Paca-jig. It's not made by Net-Baits, but the colors are named the same as the Paca Craw's and the colors match exactly as well. Now, I'm not normally one to give money to a knock off, but until the time comes when NetBaits makes thier own jigs, I'm going to give these a try. http://www.landbigfish.com/tacklesto...e.cfm?PID=4009

I've never used Pacas, but have used the little "copies" from YUM, in the 2.5 and 2.75 inch versions, as trailers on small jigs. I occasionally toss Bitsy Bugs and similar types in 1/8-3/16 ounce, with trimmed skirts, and these diminuitive "craws" fit well. Of course, this is pretty much a clear water dealio.
I have, however, recently purchased some larger true Paca craws and might just T-rig one to toss today at Beautiful (and rocky) Canyon Lake. I think I'll start, pre-sunrise, with a Black/Blue, then maybe rerig with a Green Poopkin/Red Flake. Will report. FR Insomniac, and loving it. (NOT!) |

Green pumpkin is one of the favorites locally with watermelon/red placing second. Having one lighter color wouldn't hurt either having an occasional off day. Saw some craws the other day with light grey pinchers, and black body segments outlined in the light gray pattern too. The undersides were nearly white. Several were spotted like this pattern at the ramp.
