Re: saltwater fishin
Oh man, I love saltwater fishing. I have only got to really do and get into it once. Went to the coast with a buddy last fall for some puppy drum fishing. Man, we tore them up. Only problem is they weren't long enough. Here in NC they have to be between 18 and 27 inches to keep and every dang one we caught were 17 3/4 inches. I was so ticked. I came close to stretching them that extra 1/4 of an inch just to get to keep them. We did catch some black drum though. We filleted them the day before we left. I brought them home and fried them up. Talk about fresh, the closest they came to seeing a freezer was the bag of ice they were sitting under on the way home.
Also caught some skates and Pompanos. Used some of my lake fishing experience out there too. The house we stayed at had a pier leading out into the water. We went out one night with our ultra light tackle and fished the pier with some cut up shrimp. We caught the heck out of pinfish. That was fun as could be. |
