Getting my boat to the lake
Hi yall heres what i got, I found a new little lake that i got permission to fish. The problem is that i cant get any closer than about 150 to 200 feet away from the lake with my truck and im wanting to use my little Bass Hunter boat. I was wondering how i could possibly haul in flat and pull it across the field to the lake with the trolling motor, battery, rods and tackle bag all at once, I was thinking maybe a modified wagon ??? If anyone has any ideas please let me know.
Thanks Ken |

Re: Getting my boat to the lake
Take two ten speed wheels and attach them to a axle of some type, or take two small trailer tires w/ axle. Unload the boat put them under the back and tie a rope or handle to the front and away you go. 8)

Re: Getting my boat to the lake
A decent hand cart should do it. Just load it on top of the boat while transporting to the pond, then flip it off, and put the boat on top of it. Bake sure it has BIG tires.

Re: Getting my boat to the lake
what about shore fishing it? or maybe a inflatable type raft? something cheap and easy. what is a basshunter boat? is it big? we have a gheenoe we use for duck hunting and we have found this one area that with our fishing boat you cant get to but with the gheenoe you can. we can either carry it or make a type of wagon that will hook onto bikes. this way it is easy to transport to these lakes and wont be a problem.

Re: Getting my boat to the lake
oooooooooooooooo, thats not to bad. get some kind of wagon and put it in there. maybe one of those log wagons. not to big, but that will fit in it. 2 people can carry that easily. if you have another person with you then just carry it.

Re: Getting my boat to the lake
Check out the Wal-Mart garden section. They have those garden wagons that have big knobby tires on them. Fasten a sheet of plywood to that for a more stability and you're off!
