Largemouth + peacock bass = the bass you caught.Â*;D You caught it too far away from Florida or Amazon. I bet it put up good fight.

Re: Ever See A Fish like this?
i think it is from it rubbing up against other fish or against some kind of structure. if they do it to much, they develope those spots.

Its just pigment the fish have in their skin. Its like some animals being albino and lacking any pigment, those bass just have some extra pigment in some areas giving them some weird looking spots.

Its wierd cause I havent ever noticed these until the past year or so. Is that all they are, is birthmarks? |

Re: Ever See A Fish like this?
Have caught numerous bass with spots on them. The reason is still being sought. Chances are it's a skin disease, or an area where the fish lays close to an object for a long time.
Does this particular body of water contain alot of catch and release ? If thats the case then it may be due to the skin being rubbed to cause the slime to get rubbed off. So far it's still a mistery. |

Re: Ever See A Fish like this?
it could be any one of the ideas mentioned. I caught it off a fallen tree, and the lake has many bass anglers on it. Its not that big of a lake. 750 acres. Micheal Jackson bass .. HAHA!!! I wonder if it touches lil fisheys "worms". I'm so mean. Haha..
