Default Quantum Rod

Some where I bought a Quantum Shaw Grigsby Pro series HSX54 7' MH rod. I am not sure when I bought it I am guessing last year sometime, but I just started fishing it this year. It is a good sensitive rod with alot of backbone. It comes with a 5 year warranty. Has any one ever heard of this rod series before. Who is Shaw Grigsby for Quantum building a rod series for ?Does he still fish or is he another Bill Dance, just puts his name on the stuff ? ??? P N J

Zooker, Thanks, I have never seen the Grigsby series before or since I bought it.I have seen the Van Dam reels, like you I prefer the PT series reels. I don't think there is Kevin VanDam series rod selection, I know he uses the Tour Edition PT rods. I have an original Tour Edition flippin stick, I will keep it forever, but I fish the Castaway Bud Pruitt Flippin sticks. P N J

Zooker, I modified the post, I seen what you were confused with. My mind is floating a little there, I took a darvocet that didn't seem to work, so I took another . Now they seem to be working twice as good. P N J

PNJ,

To the best of my knowledge Shaw Grigsby had some health problems that kept him out of fishing for a while. This year is his first back on the BASS tour in a year or two. Can't remember but he may be fishing some FLW events too. Could be Quantum quit making some of his signature series stuff until they knew for sure what his future was going to be.

Ironically PNJ, Shaw Grigsby is the angler pictured in the Triton jersey at the top left of this page right next to the Kevin's Bass Fishing Site Logo. He is a very good tournament angler and often does shows together with Kevin Van Dam about hard jerkbaits. As Strap pointed out he had some health problems. I believe he had bypass heart surgery and was out of commission for awhile, but I think he's back fishing tournaments now.
