Default Best Baits

What are some of the best springtime all around lures or livebaits for the midwest. When and how do ya fish them? Where do ya live?

so far this year in the cold water (water temp. between 40 and 46 degrees) my fish have come off of split tail grubs. their not too hard to fish, just cast and wait for it to drop to the ideal zone, and reel slowly straight in. i fish in northwestern indiana, mostly ponds and small lakes.

Welcome to the forum, pond_hopper!

rrw, most of us put where we are from in our signature-just go to your profile and scroll down to signature.

To answer your question, I start with a jig-n-pig and suspending jerkbait when it is cold water-50 or less, and add crankbaits, spinnerbaits, and soft plastics as the water temp increases.
