a quick question:
will green do anything in really clear water? (Can they (the fish) see it better)?

Thanks

Ryan

I personally like Pline. I have had great sucess withit. About the only time is breaks is if its a human error....snagged, bad knot, in a tree

To your last inquiry...get yourself some florocarbon line. Its a little more expensive but its worth it!

I remember reading somewhere that low visibility green line is the least visible under water. I don't know it that is true or not, but I have more confidence when using green line.

Try Yozuri Hybrid. Co-polymer line with a fluerocarbon coating. Pretty low visibility, low stretch, abrasion resistant and does not absorb water. I'm using 15# in the smoke color and have no complaints, also comes in green and clear. There is also a new "extra limp" version just out this year - haven't fished with it yet, but just spooled two reels with it will be trying it out soon.

Default Gamma

I have been a Trilene XT guy for many years and I still think it's a good all around line.

But I have tinkered with many different types and I got to tell ya that Gamma's copolymer is tough as nails and has everything you could possibly want in a fishing line.

My .02 cents....

I haven't had any problems with Stren High Impact 15#, just memory issues, but the reel magic took care of that.

If you are looking to be distinct, Toray, or Jinkai brands are very good line, but for the weekend warriors, its too expensive to buy.For the most part it is all pretty good, much like the Chevy vs, Ford controversy.I like Stren high impact, Stren Heavy cover, Sufix siege, Ande Back country and Mustad Thor line. I am not buying stren any more because it is owned by pure fishing.Just a personal issue, not that Berkley isn't good line, it aint what it used to be since pure fishing owns it. p n j
