Default Im new to the sport so can you help me out?

Okay I'am 15 and I'am new to bass fishing i have just the regular set of hooks and used to live bait! I do have a few lures, Spinnerbait, some type of fish looking thing with 2 treble hooks, and a bunch of erie dieries (Lake Erie for Walleye). I also need to know if i can use anything that can be found around my house for bait or use? Also one more thing is that im fishing a real small lake with a lot of weeds, etc. typical of a florida pond! Ive seen 6 pounders pulled out of there with live shiners but i cant get any! again what can i use around my house to get in on some of these fish?

Please help me!

Welcome to the site. The fish looking thing with 2 trebbles is probably a crankbait. The spinnerbait will also work fine for Bass fishing. Check out this site http://www.bassresource.com Go to the beginners section and take a look, it has some great info. Hope you enjoy the site.

Whoa, you're 15 and live in oviedo. Â*Same here, thats kinda really strange. Â*Anyways, go to the Ace hardware in downtown and pick up a pack of 7.5in red shad culprits, that should get you started. Â*buy some 1/8 and some 3/16oz bullet weights as well and buy some 3/0 worm hooks. Â*Maybe we could meet up some time. Â*what neighborhood are you in?
