Default Beilge Pump

I can't seem to figure out why my beilge pump does'nt work. It has power going to it and it's a brand new pump. Is there a fuse located some where I should check. And I've heard the newer pumps are silent and you won't here them like the old ones.

MIKE,

Even tho the light comes on at the switch does not mean that you have power to the pump. Check your owners manual for location of the fuse block, and check for a blown fuse. Also, pull the pump out and try turning the pump impeller. Sometimes those things will freeze up from setting dormant between seasons. Have you checked the power at the pump with a test light? If you have power up to the pump, but it still does not work, the pump may be burned out.

Mike, I would think you could hear it-I check mine out periodically whn it is in the garage-I just flip it on, see if it is humming and flip it off.
