Havin a horrible storm here in Pa nd all over the NE for that matter!... I WANT THE ICE TO MELT !!! I"M GETTIN FISHING FEVER and my new rods/ reels staring and taunting me sayin "Lets go fishing'!!!! ahh!!! cant take it!!! i need to be on a boat, not fishin on frozen stuff and looking down 2 8" holes... although ice fishin is fun

Lighten up! I make the same joke. Snow and ice are a yearly occurance in the North. Back to back hurricanes are a freak of nature. 8)

Hey Bassaddict22, I hear ya loud and clear. We got another 1/2 ft. of the stuff yesterday. Ice fishin' is okay, but it ain't no substitute for a big ol' bass SLAMMIN' a topwater twitchin' across the surface.
Next month me and a buddy are gonna drive 1200 miles to Lake Fork for a week! Check it out. If you plan it right, it's not that expensive.
It's tuff to be patient. In Mich. bass season doesn't even open until Memorial Day, near the end of MAY!!!

I blame my wife,she likes the clean living in the midwest.

ya when i cant fish for a while i go mess around with my fishing gear. it usually involves a paper clip, lighter, and a bag of old soft plastics. what i make isnt as good as some of the others on here that make soft plastics but they work nevertheless.

If ice fishing is fun, y don't you go ice fishing. I would love to have the chance to get to go ice fishing. If i ever get the chance 2 go, i will go. I think it was neiman marcus that had a really cool ice fishing house. too bad i can't afford it. Oh, well, one of these days i will hit the lottery and i will take us all.

Haha I would be a distant memory of the cold weather if I could talk the wife into it.It's to far from her parent's can't relocate the kid's,can't leave our friends,love the change of season's,Chrismas won't be the same,just built new home,love my job.......................

The first time is always the best time as with most things
I only live 45min from the mississippi river so ice fishing has been something I have done a ton of.
It is fun to drag a 30"pike outta a 6" hole on 6lb test.
If a person could ice fish in 70 degree weather it would be alot more fun

i plan on "RELOCATING" zooker.. in about 5 yrs... ive gotta finish this year of highschool then 4yrs of college at PSU to study fisheries sciences ... then planin on movin south to NC or southward.. i'm hoping upper/mid Fl.

heck, take her down here to florida one year for christmas on the beach and hang lights from a palm tree and then ask her wats better. man i ve had a white christmas before and ive had a sandy christmas and a bom fire on the beach and lighted palm trees sure do beat it out IMO

I am sick of the snow. There is a tournament up at Pymatuning lake April 2nd. I wanted to go up and observe and even start fishing. Hope this March goes out like a lamb.
