somehow i had a feeling you were related....the apple doesn't fall far from the tree.(in this case a nut) :

and if i wasn't half loaded i would probably be really pi**ed you called me dummy.i've forgotten more than you'll ever know about bassin.

then you should have been more specific, maybe something along the lines of: what BRAND of hook sharpener do you use to sharpen hooks? you have to remember, posting in the evening can result in real smart*ss answers ;D

bassintom the fish don't always have lockjaw maybe it's just your fishing and I've caught more pounds of bass than you will ever catch ounces of bass.

I use one similar to PnJ's, but originally made for sharpening knives.....made with some sort of diamond dust adhered to the surface, does a really fine sharpening job...

well, i like the ones at walmart, but if you dont have one, i like to use the file on my leatherman wave multi tool, it has 2 sides each with a different "feel". The one side also has a groove that you can use to sharpen hooks with

Oh and to answer the question, I just use the Berkley two in one line stripper/hook sharpener which runs on two C batteries.

I like the Luhr Jensen hook file. It's small enough to carry in my pocket when needed.
