Anyone Fishing on the 4th?

Rend lake is covered with Ski boats and party boats seadoos and Don't . not offended by them , I need some serious rest , I have worked 28 hrs overtime this week. Geo.

We quite buying fireworks cause we would always get about 2 or 3 hundred dollars worth and they would be gone in an hour or so (I shoot the living he!! out of fireworks)............. So now its shooting at empty beer bottles and doves (out of season but who cares) with my Remington 1100 (12 gauge shotgun for the city folks)..............

Dam, I woke up real late today and now I can't get out this morning like I planned. I'll get out a bit later today, a good pond just down the street with a bunch of milfoil on the surface, I think I'll try the trusty ol' frog today.

We just got back in...I think we had about 5 or six apiece, course mine were dinks compared to Denny, I think I taught him tooooooooo much lol
aw, ya can never stop learning these fish patterns..
Today we showed up , lots of guys launching thier boats, and its like 4:30 indiana time, we cut across to the same spot where I got the 8 pounder sat, but this time instead of being way off the bank there all were about 5 ft of the bank. Denny had a huge blow up near a big log jam with the buzzbait , threw back in and got a nice fish, 17 inches, at the same time I got a chubby 13 incher, nice way to start the day.
We got some more on the spinnerbait, I threw that damn tikki and got nothing but dinks, then got out a variety of crankbaits.
Got hung up several times flipping, but thats the way it goes, produced one more.
Talked to a few on the water, worked on the trolling motor energy supply and called it a day...
time to get the grill going and a budweiser....

Nope-my mom is having surgery tomorrow so I have to deal with that, and it is 98 degrees with a heat index of 104 right now so being on the water isn't a very appealing thought right now.

I was just kiddin'.... Besides if I did I wouldnt get caught cause I like about 6 or 7 miles back in the woods and I dont think the gamewarden or police have ever been back here............ And its the 4th. so i dont think they would investigate shooting

I was in Tennessee last night and wow did we have some fun with fireworks!!!! Other than a friend getting shot in the eye with an oversized bottle rocket it was fun oh yeah and the mortar tube falling over and shooting horizontal (exploded like 5 feet from a kids back) and a dumb dog grabing ever work that we lit!!

Duh not only did we play last night but on saturday night and last sunday night tennessee is sooooo cool you get to shoot fireworks for nothing and any kind! ( Florida law says you cant have anything leave the ground or explode and if you do it has to be for agricultural purposes ie. scarying birds/animals from crops)
