Well I got back from Knoxville around 2 last night. I can't say enough for the vol fans and students. I got to hang out with some vol students the night before the game and I must say the girls were all pretty and I was very impressed that a few tried to drink shot for shot with us. :

The game was another great game for the series..we came up a little bit short. Unfortunatly there are reports that we lost our starting FB/2nd HB for the season, dont know when the injuries will end. All in all considering we are missing 21 scholarships and have had numerous injuries I am proud of the way our team is performing and I look forward to a bright future.

Well, GATOR FANS. Had to see it coming. The short lived career of a non-winning coach. God lets all pray spurrier decides to come back. 8)

Fl,
I'm sorry but I doubt he will come back, rumor has it that he wants redemption from his NFL mess up, if the Miami job becomes available I see him as the next Dolphins coach.

Yah, I posted that earlier somewhere on pg 5-6. Probably right though. Even though he did have about a 8.5 million dollar contract w/ UF he still left. Just wishful thinking on my part. Even though today in Fl Today they have contacted him about the job. Dont like to see my GATORS lose, but what they did to ZOOK was wrong. If they were going to let him finish the season just fire him at the end of the season. All they have done now is demoralize the coach and the team. Not gonna expect much from them now and unfortunately word on the street is they might be losing some players after the season over this. Waitin to hear the buzz from my buddy, he's an assistant at the athletic directors office. Not completely in the know but does have some insight.

Fl,
I don't know if you have heard the rumors but Bob Stoops name has come up, if he had the success at florida that he did at Oklahoma, I would maybe be happier with him over spurrier.

Forget about Stoops, hes said he aint interested and it would honestly be a step down anyways. Spurrier is the guy if Foley has the guts-if not maybe Urban Meyer.

WTL,
They all say they are not interested, rumors have it that he was interested as soon as Spurrier left, if you think about it what coach wants to go to an already dominate team, this way Stoops is able to rebuild them into a powerhouse. So my point is don't believe the "I am not interested" line until they hire someone else Although meyer would be a good choice, but you could debate the step down arguement as well, because right now Utah could beat Florida!

Yea I remember the rumors before we hired Mike Price that Mal Moore was seen eating with Spurrier in Bessemer and that both Jimmy Johnson and Bill Parcells bought lots in a wealthy golf-oriented community in north tuscaloosa. So much for rumors, I'm telling you Stoops isn't interested.

Then again I could be wrong, there was this silly rumor swirling around for almost a year that Franchonie was a complete idiot - and that turned out to be true!

WTL,
Now the rumor is Spurrier is still interested in the job at Florida, he has also stated that he would like to have Pelini on his staff (good luck getting stoops to part with him). I will be glad when they just hire someone and then all this rumor crap will end

what the heck? is wrong with fsu i thought they were supose to be good this year they almost get beat by a piddly assed wake forest-acc-team. and then beat ugly by maryland terps.another acc team.mind you the dekes-wake forest-are not known for there foot ball program. it still should not have been even close with a sec team like fsu-which have a huge foot ball program.not to mention twice the players. allthough the deke's did beat duke -and why not-today.

Zooker,
FSU is not an SEC team, they are in the ACC. Wake Forrest has had a decent football team for a couple of years, and Maryland has also had really good teams for the last two years. FSU is not as good as everyone thinks, its about time they got Chris Rix out of there before it was too late Now they just need to find a kicker!

Nope, FSU is in the ACC. They arent man enough to play in the SEC, ask Bobby Bowden.

First time since 1978, All three major Fl teams lost in the same day. Only good thing is Im not a Miami or FSU fan. I am glad to see that Fl at least put some points on the board and made it look like a game. Stoops - Not a chance, Meyer- maybe?, but think about it, look what utah is doing right now, the boosters will probably pay a lot to keep him now. Not sure!Dont know! Just gonna wait till I hear something besides rumors. 8)

I wanna bump this thread back to the top.

Bama 30 - Miss St. 14.
Florida won.
UT lost both the game and Ainge. Bad break for them.
Texas A&M played with grit but it wasnt enough.
USC is currently losing and Miami lost.

Yet another great day of college football!

Lets look at some things here- Spurrier out. Machen and Foley screwed that- offer him the job dont tell him to wait. Urban Meyer- makes $500,000. a year- Spurrier w/ Fl- 8.2 million over 5 years. HMMMMMM! also hired by machen. Whats his name from Cal-tedrod or telrod?????, Also Stoops- maybe, Loves Fl, already built a dynasty at Ok, time to rebuild something else-Build a national champ then build another, then NFL time. Also there was a blip in the paper about Gruden???????? 8)
