Yep, right here. Weighing in on the whole teens fishing tournaments thing. I think it is a great idea for teens to fish tournaments compeitively against other teens. I think so because you learn ten times as much by fishing a tournament than you would spending the same time fishing leisurely. When you're forced into a situation where you've got to catch fish, you learn so much faster.

I'm 15, and devoted to bass fishing. I'm really busy taking all AP and honors courses, and being very involved in NJROTC. But bass fishing is my life, and I try to go whenever I can, usually get out a few times a week when there is nothing big going on.

well, since we are giving a bio, i am 13(next month will be 14) i love to fish, mostly bass but do go out inshore saltwater fishing. i love to play football, and startin to get good a basketball. i am in 8th grade.

15 yrs old, hobbies:huntin, fishin, paintball, fourwheelers, cars, girls,. Fish and hunt when ever i can though. In the summer i generally fishin everyday or everyother day.

my teenage years ended last october but ive been fishin bass tournaments with my dad since i was 12yrs old...my second year into it (age 14) i was ranked 5th out of 98 members in the club tht i fished with as an individual and me n my dad were ranked 7th overall as a team...i must say it was alot better makin money like tht instead of cuttin the neighbors grass back then lol! ;D

You can't just "plan" on making a living by bass fishing. Sure it would be nice if anyone could, but it is by no means an easy tihng to accomplish. I hope that I will be able to make a living by bass fishing, but if not, oh well. I'll be going to college anyway and when I come out, even if I don't have success in tournaments, I should still be able to get a job. I think by saying that you plan on making a living by tournament fishing, you're putting all your eggs in one basket. Do some other things, and give yourself more opportunities and options.

I don't want to trample on anyones vision of becoming a pro tourney fisherman, but if you want to know where the real money is, its in guiding, tackle sales and all the stuff on the periphery of tournament fishing. Sure the glory is in winning the bassmasters classic, but the money is in selling the bait that won it.

for real...some of the best b.a.s.s. out there have barely broken into the 7 digits. And you cant always count on money flow pro fishing.
