Default Just a flipping or pitching rod... or more?

I'm looking into getting a flippin and pitching rod and reel. The new Quantum Accurist AC 500 set on a decent 50 to 80 dollar 7 or 7.5 foot MH rod. I was just wondering if a rod this long with this action could be used with any other rigs or baits than flippin and pitchin. Could I use it for caronlina rigging, or even crankbaits???
Thanks and good fishin

FISHIN',

Wal-Mart has Daiwa "Team Daiwa" flippin sticks in Med-Hvy that seem to have a fairly nice tip action for pitchin and flippin, as well as C-riggin. As far as crankbaiting, it may be a little stiff. It may also be a little long for any type of casting, depending on your heigth. If you are over 6 ft tall, the 7 1/2' length may not bother you for casting. For most people, 7 ft is about the maximum length for a casting rod.
