Well the 3x's are pretty durable, but so is the Snapback brand. Â*Most durable isn't always the best fish catching though Â*I pick my baits on action/feel/scents/fall.

Lizards

well if you want durable, buy a bag of gulp worms and leave them lying around somewhere for about a day. they will be so durable that a hook couldnt even pierce it ;D not to mention that the fish wont want it either. i think IME, zoom has been real durable. of coarse i have not used these 3x baits, not even sure what they are :-/

when 3x first came out with lizards i bought some. i have to admitt it did take some getting used to the stickyness-had a t-rigged one stick weight and all to a cement abutment-but i will have to admit they were very tough to tear up i caught 35 bass over a month or so on one lizard then a gar chewed it in half. my buddy had 67 bass on one lizard before he lost it. but because of the stickyness problem i switched back to zoom among other plastic baits. in reality if a plastic bait last 2 bass it is fine.

Its always kills me to watch people dif. approach to
thier plastics..on the left ya have the guy that sets the hook one time and replaces his worm, on the right you have someone like me that keeps the same worm until the tail it ripped, then there are those handy do it yourself guy handymen that either weld the plastic or glue it for future use.
I tend to rip lizards heads probably the most and have thrown many a headless lizzy as long as it keeps producing fish.
Once while starting out with a 4 inch berkley craw I had to kept biting a 1/2 inch of it after a vicious strike,
until later in the day the bait was only about inch and 3/4..and that size must have been what they were looking for, the size fish and frequency increased dramatically.
Lots of times its the experimenting that gets you results while no one else has a clue but to change a lure about every 12 minutes ......searching

i think i fall into the category of keep using the worm till it is ripped apart. then i take it and weld it on to another plastic that needs a few extra inches. i want to get some of that pro bait glue, the welding seems to wear off fairly fast.

When your bitin' those lizards, worms & craws just make sure they are not Berkley Power Bait. That damn taste sticks with you for a week.
