caught a 4' copperhead.dang think tried to get into my boat in the middle of the lake

.started whackin him with a wormin rod,stuck him with the hook.kept trying to bite me..won't try to bite nobody no more....and my kids swim in that lake

also a hot air baloon almost landed on me! only caught 1 lousy trout,but it sure was a nice day...
what a day!

Did you clean yourself and your boat afterwards? I know I would been cra---ng all over myself on that one

I wouldn't worry too much about the kids. I know there are copperheads in NJ., but I've spent many hours in the woods & never saw one in 30 yrs. They aren't ordinarily water snakes, so that was just a fluke.
Did see a rattler once though. I was walking along a road in Randolph & spotted it. Only thing was, someone turned him into a road pizza.
