falcon rods hold up
yeah i know strange even for me but.
haveing listened to both "boss man" and his brother tell about catching a "really ugly, really really smelly. flat head i take it to be truth full. so the story goes like this. they were working a section of high rock-they won't tell me where- bossman's brother throwing a shad rap up on the bank and reeling it slowly in to the boat. he hangs something "huge" after a long battle they wrestle this stinky thing to the boat. it bottoms out a 50 pound spring scale. they jam this beast into the live well. and run for the truck they weigh this flat head using a boat paddle and 100 pound scale the flat head weighs 68.5 pounds . caught on a 7' falcon cara rod using "that 4600 c-4 you gave me" and 12 pound ande line. from what i have heard bossman's brother grabbed his rod by mistake. these guys are shoulder to shoulder fisherman. but i an happy i have converted another "stren" user to ande. although i do not know much about these sticks . they have got to be a really well made rod to take this kind of punishment. -not that i am going to buy one in the future- i will give these rods a second look next time.. zooker

yeah. they are that good. And should one ever break, they have a fantastic return policy and customer service. I have used Fenwick, but personally dont think they are any better than the Falcon. this is just my oppinion however, as everyone has thier favorite rods.

zooker[/quote] im not denying that they hold up, but they tend to be a little more expensive then the Eagle GT series i like to use. Im saving up for an Hmg or Hmx,whichever one is cheaper, because im also in need of some lures. |
