If you know a lot about smallies. Have you ever fisher Table Rock Lake Missouri for them around the Kimberlling City or Branson area, and can you give any accurate advice as to how to catch the largest stringer.

I live up in St. Louis and have fished Table Rock Before. Right now they are hitting topwater in the maina lake area but in a couple of weeks they will be going deep and you are going to want to throw football jigs or dropshot rigs at them on structure.

The "proper" name: Micropterus dolomieu

# or more common names : Brown Bass,Black Bass, Green trout, and a red eye

World record: 11lbs 15 ounces from Tn.or kentuky
Dale Hallow reservoir 7/9/1955
They can live to be 15 years in age.

The fishermans name: David L Hayes in 1996 was said to have taken the title away cause he stuffed 3 pounds of motor parts in the fish. But it was reinstated back to Hayes in 1999.

the range

And I don't think it was caught on a lure I think it was live bait but don't Quote me on that!

If you need more just let me know!

Robby.

Vic dunaway is wrong. It is definitely in the 11lb range. BTW it was caught in Tennessee. They are part of the sunfish family, as well as largemouths. And all the smallmouths that I catch are called TOADS. 8)
