WoodChooper?
Anyone heard of this thing? Sorta resembles a fat Devil's Horse. Anyone know where to find them? I saw first hand that these things work. Saw a 8.5 and several 2-3's caught this weekend when nothing else was working. The guy fishing said he always catches fish with this thing when the topwater bite occurs. I fished a buzz bait with very little success, and this guy was killing them. I did a web search and the only thing that came back was a Pike & Muskee lure. Would love to have one in black....Tight lines

Tom maybe this is what you were referring to. It comes in smaller sizes with a prop on front and back. |

Re: WoodChooper?
Bassintom-you are correct, the one I saw used was a two prop model, shorter and fatter. Thinks for getting the right response, and thanks lockjaw for the link. It is always nice to get a rersponse from "REAL" bass fisherman, and not ones who sit on a computer all day and wait for new post so they can do an internet search and find the same information anyone with a computer can find. Thanks fellas...tight lines

Reminds me of a trip a few years back with a buddy of mine, he casted and hit an overhanging tree with a texas rigged worm with a bullet weight, probably a quarter ounce or so. Well he was determined to get it out and kept pulling, well he succeeded in getting it out at about 100+mph it came flying at him and the bullet sinker nailed him right in the knee cap. What a God awful thud sound that was, he dropped like a sack of potatoes and moaned and groaned for a long time. You could hear that bullet weight screaming coming right at him, sure glad it wasn't me |

Re: WoodChooper?
nope a c-rig hurts worst. bout the worst thing i have ever got nailed with was a 2oz stinger snagging hook -pnj knows what these are-think of a 2oz casting sinker with normally 3-4/0 treble hooks inbeeded in the top. hit me right in the shoulder spun me around and i slamed face first in to the rock cliff behind me. genesee river october 91. could not lift my arm above my shoulder for a month.
