Re: using lizards
^ you got to space out the url brackets and squeeze the site in between with no space between the barkets and the site. just so ya know. http://<a href="http://www.bassfishi...ply;start=</a> then squeeze the urls to the http; and the start= and it will work |

Re: using lizards
I have never had much luck with them. I mostly use more plastic worms. But if you are going to go with lizards, i would use the Zoom Lizard (5 or 6 inch) in a chartreuse pepper, or a dark purple/blue.

Re: using lizards
I have caught a few swimming a worm on top of the water across grassy points in the bayous behind my house. I swim them just pass the point and pause. Then if nothing bites I swim them back and try from another angle. All of this is weightless. uSome of the time they will come out of their cover to chase it down but if not I'll find them with something else. Other than the points I haven't had much luck. So like rrw4258 said I tie a worm on. They work in so many different ways.

Re: using lizards
Plastic lizards are a very good bait especially in the spring. I both Texas rig them and Carolina Rig them, They are excellent for SM or spotted bass. I use 4,5 and 6 inch sizes. The brand I preferr is Zoom. Fish2win

Re: using lizards
I really like a lizard carolina rigged and work it on drop-offs. I just let it work itself down the bank by itself. Works real good on smallmouth.

I use lizards a lot. Texas rig em. Usually a pumpkin color or blue fleck color. The last thing i caught on a blue fleck lizard was about a 12lbs catfish.

so who thinks gamblers needs to make their new lizard a floating lizard so we could stop it on the retrieve for a more natural presentation considering all the live lizards I've thrown from my boat literally walk on water, and will stop and float, then run again, stop and float.
