Default When a cold front isnt cold

We have had about a week or so of cooler temps. At night its dropping down between 60 and 50. I know for most this is still t shirt and short weather(especially for the northeners) 8). Day time is still 70's. Will this affect the fish? Temp drops only for about 5-6 hours then goes back up. Do you feel this will trigger the fish to slow down and become less aggresive ? Or is the slight variation in temp to short to really effect the fish? Haven't had the chance to go out fishin since this started(Hopefully Weds.)

I was reading earlier today some info about Lake O, from Art ferguson's site. He guides there during the colder months and then in Michigan during the summer months, when not fishing tournaments. He stated that the fish are spawning for like 4 months there, and the key during the winter months is to get a couple of days of STABLE weather, and the fish will turn on again. I would reccomend you take a look at the site http://www.artoffishing.com and check out the info on Lake O, I'm guessing the patterns will be the same for most of the Lakes down there. Sorry but that the best info I can give ya.

FIREMAN,

Actually, it is not a temperature thing, it is a barometric thing. The barometer always falls ahead of a storm (or COLD FRONT). The fish will turn on and bite well during this span of falling barometeric pressure. When the pressure stops falling and starts again to climb, the fish develop lockjaw until the barometer gets back to a normal state and levels off for a few days. Then it is business as usual.
