NEED HELP 4 THE PAYBACK !

Last may, I was fishing at one of the local large ponds/small lakes by my house after work and I met this guy from Alabama. Me and him hit it off and became good friends/fishing buddies.We would meet up and fish three to five times a week,sometimes for 8-10 hours at a time. Well,one month later my birthday rolled around and he had got wind of this. He shows up with a Fenwick flippin' stick and ask's me what i think of it.Man,this is the greatest rod I have ever held and he blurts out "HAPPY BIRTHDAY"! Well now his birthday is this weekend and I have no clue what to get him.....any ideas....This rod was in the 100.00 range..

fenwick rod? shows he knows a good rod when he sees it.you know him better than we do. i would buy a reel-one of his favorite kind-but that is just me.

personally if he is giving away fenwick rods i will take 2.

now ya know why all i use are fenwick rods.

You dont need to match him on price. What does he always say he needs? Get him a soft bag full of different lures you guys use, maybe throw in a few newer ones you been wanting to try. If he doesnt have a ton of tackle thats always a safe bet. Buy him a gift card for BPS online or cabellas. Get a hold of one of our many custom lure makers, see if they have any premade handmade lures. Heck chip[ just advertised a pro pack that I think anyone would be happy to receive. 8)

Get him a T-Shirt of you holding a monster bass!

I gave one to my fishing buddy for a gag gift it whent over quite well he wears it every time we go fishing. But he put a little extra on it with arrows saying I'm with stupid!

Look at his gear look for something he might want to have replaced or upgraded. Or you might want to get something he's never tried before.

I agree with the gift card. I don't like anyone buying baits for me. I'd rather pick them myself.

Gift cards are always good. If you know what his favorite rods and reels are, get one, and if you know anything he doesn't have that he plans on getting, you can buy it for him.

I know a great guy that has a site of custom painted lures thats unbelievable. You could buy him a selection of handpainted and crafted baits that any fisherman would adore.

What a great gesture, and to think my fishing partner gave me a Johnny Morris Flipping stick with 5oz of brass weights in the balancer that almost tore my elbow off. Go with the gift certificate!

Well,the BASS-A-RAMA is this coming weekend in Richmond and i'm gonna drag him to it and let him spend $100.00 his way.I think that is fair......
