I was out all day saturday,ot burned pretty good.Make sure you guys are wearing your sunscreen. You dont want skin cancer do you?Overall good day caught around 15 SMALL 1lbers-2 1/2 lbers.BIG fish went to my brother
(tossing a senko weightless into the current) pulled up a 4 1/2 5 lber. And then caught a bass that was half the size of the senko.(have no clue how that lil bugger got the hook in him)

Flamez,It sounds like you had a great day fishing. It seems as though you should have had sunscreen left over from last year or does it go bad ?Here in NY,your liable to get wind burn't before a sun burn. ;D P N J

PnJ, the Dermatologist that carved that chunk off my shoulder said sunscreen will break down in high temperatures and recommended keeping it in the ice chest.

I'll echo what flamez says. For you new folks that didn't see my original post a couple of months ago I had a basal cell carcinoma cut off my shoulder. That isn't the real nasty one, but a skin cancer nonetheless. Wear that sunscreen!

I'm with Reb. I''m going on three years since I was first diagnosed with cancer. After 2 surgeries and 9 weeks of chemo it isn't something I want to go through again. Wear that sunscreen.

yes it does pay. i will be really lucky not to have skin cancer when im older. i have failed many times to put the stuff on and i payed the price. 3 times i have been severly burned with quarter sized bubbles on my back. not something i want to happen again. saturday it was cloudy and alittle rainy and i still put sunscreen on. i get burned very easy.

This same topic was brought up about a month and a half ago, but for such an important topic I guess there is no reason to mind. Â*I think that the next great campaign amongst fishermen should be to popularize sunscreen and sun protection and make it as nearly universal as catch and release. Â*If we don't as a group work to encourage others to protect themselves from the sun, then you will just see more and more anglers end up in the hospital and maybe the graveyard. Â*

And while I think sunscreen is great, nothing beats loose clothing covering the skin. Â*Just ask TE Lawrence. Â*

Flamez has 16 brothers and sisters? That explains a lot. ;D
