Fishing with a bass pro?
Ok guy's Â*here we go on another wild adventure into one psyche and thing of thing we wish we could only do if we won millions of dollars or held them at gun point!
If you had to pick three[glow=red,2,300]PRO [/glow]guy's to fish with who would they be? Where would you go fishing? What would you ask him to teach you?. And would you let him drive?. Â*Robby. |

Re: Fishing with a bass pro?
Timmy Horton, Pickwick Lake
Shaw Grisby, Rodman Reservoir Doug Hannon, Lake Hatchineha The way I see it, Horton could show me the ins and outs of Pickwick since that is basically his home lake. Grisby could show me sight fishing of course, and I picked Rodman cause I'm sure he would be familiar with that lake. Hannon as far as I know has never been to Hatchineha, but as a big bass guy from Florida I would like to see how he approaches maybe the best big bass lake in the Kissimmee chain. |

Re: Fishing with a bass pro?
Here I go:
Jimmy Houston - Spinnerbaiting in KY/Barkely Lake The Late Bill Murphy- Deep worming in any lake in California. (Even though he is not living he is still considered a legend, and it would be my dream!) Bill Dance - Crankbaiting Reelfoot Lake in TN. Of course I would let them drive, because they are pro's and they know more than I could ever know. I'd also let them buy me lunch too ;D, they could afford it! Kybasser |

Re: Fishing with a bass pro?
Dont care- Â*Would actually like to get out on the water with a handful of you guys. Dont need big money or big name. Yah Im sure it would be neat but theres probably people on here that could teach some of them a thing or two. Heck I could cover Â*quite a few places- Bassintom-the north,Zilla- the great white north,Zooker- well that would be interesting wherever you went, Reb-Texas, You get the idea here. We have guys from all over the states posting here. Im more interested in having fun, making quality friends and fishing. You fish with a pro, unless you know him, It's basically a publicity thing to help them and their sponsor look good. We have guys that tourney fish, we have kids and teens- who still just love to fish- most in the purest form. They dont have the money to go out and buy everything under the sun to fish. They do whatever they can to get the money to buy 1LURE or a pack of Senkos. Some of us probably go out and spend more at a tackle shop in 20 minutes than they do all year. Also, look at all the guys here that make their own equipment. Either to sell for profit or just for personal use. Thats neat and thats dedication. To be able to sit at home and possibly create the soft plastic or crankbait or zooknstein that may very well catch the next state or world record. That would throw some companies for a loop. Imagine the new world record caught on a ZOOK-N-STEIN. There would be companies pounding down some doors trying to get their name on it. Sorry to go up on a soapbox here. I guess I dont have the same desire or want to be with famous people. Â*8) Well if you want a list: See membership board for this site.

Paul Elias, as he is the one who got me interested in deep cranking, and i would fish with him on any lake.
Larry Nixon, as he has always been my favorite Pro,and would like to fish with him on Lake Fork or Sam Rayburn. Tom Mann. Another fishing hero. I met him as a child and I will never forget it. Fish on Lake eufaula of course. Yep, they do the driving. Charles |

Scott if there was a perfect answer you hit the nail on the head.
This is kinda a trick question but don't get me wrong they were all good replies though. But here's another if you had to got head to head with a pro in a one day fish off, where would it be?, what would be your game plan for the day? Robby. |

Re: Fishing with a bass pro?
Kevin Vandam- LAke of the woods/Erie/ Minnetonka. I'd want to learn how to fish tubes and jerkbaits from the master
Denny Brauer- any lake w/ lots of timber and structure. I'd be flipping and pitching a jig of course, I've gotta learn how to do it. Dean Rojas- California Delta or any of the clear lakes over there. I wann learn how to sight fish and catch fish in clear water, he'd be good for this. |

Re: Fishing with a bass pro?
Terry Scroggins - I want to learn just how he approaches the St. Johns River .
Shaw Grigsby - Rodman Res. or Lake Santa Fe(Gainsville, Fl.) - It's a clear lake and can be hard to figure out and he would know it better than most... sight fishing and other clear water tactics. Doug Hannon - Ocklawaha River - I'd like to see how he would approach it. Show me the bigguns! |

Tim Horton- Crankbaiting on Wilson Lake because he's a hometown hero and we wouldn't have to travel but a few miles.
Jimmy Houston- "The spinnerbait king" on one of his honey holes in Oklahoma. Gerald Swindle- Jig fishing on Lake Eufala. This guy cracks me up with his sick sense of humor! |

Re: Fishing with a bass pro?
No not bucking for anything. Reread that, I mentioned that people like you that have created their own bait are truly people that enjoy and expand on their fishing. I would still take one if the opportunity ever came though. (Not gonna start this one again :-X) OK Zilla,
MONO VS. MONO- Stick Marsh/Farm 13- Bring it on any pro. Only rule I can use live shiners if needed, they only have artificial as a weapon. Just the terrain a lone could give me an advantage here. Also this is a world recognized fishery so the possibilities are endless. 8) |

Re: Fishing with a bass pro?
1. Rick Clunn
2. Denny Brauer 3. Mark Davis 1. because I think he's probably one of the greatest fisherman that is on the planet and could probably find a pattern when no one else could. 2. if nothing else, he was on the Wheaties box. I'd have to say for his ablilty to fish the jig. 3. back to back top 50's last year. No one had ever done that, and for his crankbait fishing ability. Imho, fishing with any one of them and any where would be an opportunity that I wouldn't forget. If I had a boat, yeah they could drive. |
