Re: Jitterbugs
you can either swim it or use a stop and go retrieve.......... see what the fish want..

Re: Jitterbugs
Just chunk and wind it. One method I have had success with on occasion is to reel it in as fast as you can, where it is not wobbling but skipping across the surface.

Re: Jitterbugs
i cast it and bounce it around for a little bit on the top of the water. then when i feel i might have the bass attention i just reel it in slow and steady.

Re: Jitterbugs
As you can infer from the picture below my name, the Jitterbug is my #1 topwater. Almost all of the time I use a steady retrieve at a medium speed, the speed where it seems to wobble the best.

Re: Jitterbugs
i always use the stop and go retrieve, usually when i stop and start up again the bass nail it. I've really only used a jitterbug at night though. that might have somthing to with it.

Marty,
Any color preference? I have the black on and need to put more time into it, I know they are productive. |
