furnace lake,n.j.
got 2 nice bass yesterday on grubbin zook.water temp was 55-56 degrees.the bass are up shallow..1 to 6 ft deep.cast shallow, drag out to first dropoff, especially if weeds are nearby.get caught in weeds, pop it free.
tried the zook with a smaller blade and instead of jig head, put on in-line spinner.got over a dozen trout(minnows)in about a half hour. |

the zook-n-stein and the grubbin zook are 2 different animals..both of which are meaner than junkyard dogs.
