Sweeping hook set
Recently I've been fishing with 5 3/8 senko style worms and I've found that once the bait has been taken instead of pulling up to set the hook making a sweeping motion from right to left or visa versa the hook always sets on the side of the jaw, except for the occasional throat hook. Another tip for if one does swallow the hook is to smash the barb down to make for an easy removal. I just thought i would share a few things that helped me get more fish on and back in the water with minimal damage to fight another day.

saving fish
Keep a bottle of Mnt Dew handy for bleeders, if you get one pour on some Mnt Dew and the bleeding should stop. bigbasser
