Question for the bassfishin crew.Whats your favorite senko type bait ?
Personally I like one that has pretty good weight to it, and flutters good when falling..Because of the weeds here in FL I usually rig one weightless t.rigged with a 4/0 EWG.Right now I'm using wave worms 5" tiki-stick, thinking about trying the Gambler Ace anybody on here used that one ? I know those Yamamoto's will put ya in the doghouse/poorhouse

I honestly think the yama's are the best Senkos out, period. I have yet to find another Senko as soft as the yama's.

I've also heard the yama-senkos have tungsten powder in them.

As I'm sure others will say, the watermelon/red 6in works well for me.

I love yum dingers IMO the best band for your buck. The sink nice a slow, and have great action and scent. Great colors and I love that hook slot they got in 'em too, really helps hide the hook in thick weeds.

Those BPS senkos are wayyyy too stiff for my liking.

As far as best bang for buck senkos that are still somewhat soft, I'm thinking the Bgi Bite Bait's are hard to beat.

I really like the YUM Dingers. I find they have pretty good action without completely emptying my wallet.

Have tried the Gambler Ace, they work good but tear very easily, somtimes I only get 1 or 2 fish per bait. My favorites now are the Big Bite Baits. I buy them by the 100 count bags.

YUM Dingers. $3/bag at WalMart. I have some OCHOS that I haven't had the chance to try yet.

I personally think that the real senko's are the best of the stick baits. I will usually throw a yum dinger first due to cost, but if that doesn't work I will switch over to the senko.

I started off throwing Case baits. Then tried several other name brands including senko. They all worked somewhat as good as senkos with the Case brand about just as good as the senkos.

Like you John, I've been using the Tiki Sticks and I like them a lot. The laminated black/red blend is my favorite color of Tiki Stick to date. Mostly I t rig them weightless and work along the bottom with soft short occational tugs.

Been throwing strike king shaw rigsby junebug senko, the bigger fish close to the bank due to the flooded waters here are getting on it big time.
Normally tiki sticks were first choice but I got these ned flounders senkos
just to try out at glander mountain

I'm wondering the same thing.. I got a few packs at gander the other day for 99 cent. The seemed pretty stiff but, caught one bass on one the other day though, so they catch fish. I like the colors too!

Alluring 5" are the next ones I'm gonna try , there about $24 plus shipping for 100.
I was at the tackle shop the other day and forgot all about picking up some of the big bite baits.Next trip out that way and I'll pick some up.Been frog fishing more lately.

In my opinion, no. But the BBB senkos work. I just find that the yamasenkos quiver the best out of all the other brands. I will say that the quivering action really won't matter if you're texas riggin them but when it comes to a wacky rig, I think yamamoto owns all.


Honestly, I don't know if the softer vs stiffer senkos make any difference when it comes to what the fish want.

The advantage of custom made ones are you can get exactly what you want.... very soft to very hard, no salt, a little bit of salt, a lot of salt, and any color combination you or the fish desire....

Im a huge fan of Big bites senkos. Ive caught my biggest bass off of them to include a7lb 8 and 9 1/2 all of a watermelon red senko from big bites
