Default vick

M.Vick apologized today. After the judge has his say so "I" think he might go back to the NFL after all is sayed and done.
Request comments on the opinions of my statement, perhaps I'm wrong. I certainly hope so.

I hope he doesnt go back to the NFL, thats some messed up things he's done. And what an idiot, willing to give it all up for dog fighting??? He didnt need the money, which means he solely did it for fun, he's disgusting, dispicable, and a disgrace to all.

ditto 02, pro sports are getting harder and harder to watch and enjoy. I'd rather take my kids fishing or to a high school game than watch any professional sports!

Yup, can barely find any reason to watch pro football. I'm pretty much college all the way.

Celebraties and Sport stars in America need to be knocked down to meer mortal status. I know you asked to have the comments stay on your oppinion of Mr. Vick, but it's not just one individual that's running amock in America these days. Lindsay Lohan was busted with the possition of Coccaine, but in her plea bargin, she pleas 'no contest' and has the possession charges dropped. Her sentence? 1 day.

Michael Vick, executes dogs and participates in illegal activities and gets 1 year (I believe) in minimum secruity jail. He comes out, finds a team that will start him (Dallas? Maybe the Vikings or San Fransico) and he'll be back to his millionaire ways.

And his little brother? Something tells me there's something wrong with that family. The brother who got kick out of NCAA football for stomping on another players leg after he tackled him has a shot at starting for the Falcons. A long shot, but a shot non-the-less.

Don't get me wrong, in the digital age, there is no redemption... but the fallen celebrity is making more money then the one that stays on the straight and narrow. Lets not forget how Paris Hilton's career got started.

Don't forget. He AXED God for forgiveness.

His statement yesterday sounded like he needed to ASK God for a lesson in grammar.

Vick threw it away for something stupid. Just because you have physical talent, does not mean you have a brain............In my book, he's a looser. Why not deal drugs, murder, beat the wife, have a nice car chase around Atlanta..........But dog fighting? NICE, REAL NICE !

If they hold to it long enough it helps them get less time, or after they are incarcerated time can be shaved off. Plus, many of the other inmates refrain from boogerin' a bible thumper.

Personally, I think it's well past time that the rich and famous start getting the same treatment that us average Joe's would get for doing the same crap.

Wow, i have pretty much been emailing ESPN and other sports programs lately about this. I have been sitting on my couch watching these sports "professionals" saying why they think Vick should get a break. The other day i was watching First Take on ESPN 2 and two brothers, last name of Stewart, were on First and Ten with Skip Balas. With all the other things being said about Vick, the conversation came up about the Falcons trying to get Vick's signing bonus back. Ryan Stewart, which is a former player, stated that Vick should not have to give any of it back, because that is "all they get." Well, i think all of sports fans know for a fact that, that is not all they get. I am so sorry for all the professional sports players in the world, as we all should obviously. I mean, it must be a terrible life traveling around the world, playing a game and getting paid for it, staying in the most luxiourous hotels, getting buffet breakfasts, lunch, dinners for free, flying first class in a private jet anywhere they want to go, having people look up to them, having clothes and shoes named after them.....and so on. God, i feel so bad for them. I can understand now why Ryan Stewart says that the mere signing bonus, at a measly $35 million, is all they get. I have no idea how they can live on that alone, which i guess is why they give them another $130 million contract on top of that. And of course, Vick needs more money than that, and since his life is so boring and not near enough fun and excitment, so he fights dogs. And then he gets caught. I can't believe why he needs jail time, or why he shouldn't be able to play football again. He has it so tough.
Whatever. Sorry for all the sarcassim, but he needs to kicked out of the NFL permantely. He needs to return all the signing bonus, lose his contract, and needs to enter the military after he serves his 2 year jail sentence. If he wants to be so dominating, be dominating in Iraq. He lied, He lied right to his Owners face, The commissioner of the NFL, and he lied to all his fans. Screw him. I know he said he found god, good for him, but he stated that it is right thing to do at this time. See you in Iraq Vick. Have fun in Jail thinking about all the innocent dogs you killed.
Sorry for the long post. But this really gets me!

Default Tribute to "Vick"

Fight me, deny me, crucify me.
My sins are yours, there not mine.
You make me what I am, evil at your command.
You send me to meet my challenger, what ever it may be.
I risk my life to line your pockets for nothing but pain and agony.
Three feet of chain with nowhere to go, there’s not much here to see.
No time to play, it’s work, work, work, that’s how life is for me.
Run the treadmill. Pull the blocks and hang there from the tree.
If my ribs feel a little thick, then not much food for me.
I’ve been hit, I’ve been beat . I’ve been left to die in the ring.
I’ve been sewed up! I’ve had several bones broken.
I’ve scratched when I couldn‘t stand and I’ve stood up when I couldn’t scratch.
I’ve killed a few dogs and I’ve nearly died when I‘ve met my match.

I’ve grown too old now to fight in your ring
You’ve left me no chance to ever be free
I lay in the darkness, no one at my side
My last fight I lost, my eyes no longer can see
This is what you have done to me.
I can no longer walk , run or play
You have a new puppy now, the one to take my place
The cold and darkness closing now, you have nothing to say..
Fight me, deny me, and crucify me,
My sins are yours, they’re not mine.
You make me what I am, evil at your command.
You send me to meet my challenger, whatever it may be.
I risk my life to line your pockets for nothing but pain and agony.

God, I cant even see the picture but that stricks me deep. Someone should read that to Vick every night as he goes to sleep, and every morning as he wakes up, for the rest of his life.

If Vick does not receive a permanent ban from the NFL, then we all know that - unfortunately - he WILL play again. In the NFL, money talks and **** walks. Unfortunately, he HAS sold tickets, jerseys, etc. That's why the Falcons had sold ut just about every home game since he joined them and that's why opposing teams who normally don't sell out their home games DO sell out every seat when the Falcos have come to town. It's an abomination, but it's oh-so-true. No matter how despicable a pro athlete's behavior has been (especially pro football players), the fans and the team owners have a habit of "forgetting" and eventually welcome them back with open arms. Al Davis of the Oakland Raiders has taken every malcontent and throwaway nasty player that he could get.

But IF Vick does return to the NFL, then he WILL NOT come back as a quarterback............he'll have all of his prison time, whatever amount that is, to buff up, put some weight and muscle on; his return would be as a running back/split back, and he'd probably make all-pro every year.

What he has done is totally despicable and he should NOT be forgiven!!

Nice post, carpman. I can't see the pic either, like BF02 says, but the one in my head is pretty detailed. And that's not a good thing.

He will be back, he will get booed, he will still play, and after a good season none of the fans will care and the team will kiss his hoodlum a$$ for making them more money. Sorry, but that's about the truth of it. Also, you will still see a bunch of people wearing his jersey's.

No I really doubt people will be wearing his jersey much. I do think he will be back, and his team will kiss his a$$, but I doubt the fans will. Even IF they manage a good season.

BLWeng,
To get into the military, you must pass a test.
It would be an insult to the armed services to take him.
This ain't the old days.

I know, i don't want him in the military just like the military doesn't want him. But you know what i mean i guess. Everyone is right on here. I'm sure he will play again. It is just really screwed up.
