Here you go:

The hook is held in place with a plastic disk from using a hole punch on a coffee can lid.

if you bought the trailor hook pack, then take the trailor hook, and slip the eye over the point of the other hook. then take some of the tubing and cut a piece and pierce the tubing with the original hooks point.

I rarely throw a spinnerbait and never throw a buzzbait without one

No-put the trailer hook on, then punch the point of the main hook through the center of the disk and slide it down on the hook shank. This method keeps the trailer hook riding right behind the main hook. If you put a piece of surgical or aquarium tubing over the eye of the trailer hook and then put it on by punching the point of the main hook through the tubing it has a tendency to stick out at angles other than right behind the bait leading to getting snagged. A free swinging hook won't snag near as often.

alright, so you want something that will let the trailer hook dangle insted of being stiff?

I do. I used to rig them with a piece of aquarium tubing over the eye of the trailer hook, and 1/2 the time it would come back pointing at a 45 degree angle. Using the disk from the coffee can lid eliminated that problem.

It really is personal preference-as I have said many times, use what works for you.

As an added twist, in open water some people have the trailer hook point down, or even use a treble hook. There is no right or wrong way to do it.

the trailorhook should be between the body of the spinner/buzzbait and the hole punch. like in the picture. it should be able to swing from side to side and from the hole punch to the body.
