Spinner Colors

The lake that i fish at has darker, and murkier waters, and i was just wondering what colors for my spinnner baits i should use. any suggestions?

Black, brown, white because i like it

i always thought that lighter colors like chartruse were better in dark waters

i live on that kind of water too, i have always had very good results with big blades and chart/white or just chart. I have even been known to put two #4 colorados or willow leafs on my spinnerbaits and let me tell you i have cought some reel lunkers on that rig! some dark colors work too like purple and blk/blue are just some examples.

use red and white...i have one and it works great cause its bright and it looks as if its injured or bleeding which attract bass.

I'd go with a chartruse and white skirt, 3/8th lead and one big colorado blade

I would throw a variety of colors, to be honest. Chartreuse is actually an excellent color for darker waters. The most important thing is the blades. i'd be inclined to try some painted blades along with the standard copper/gold colorado blade.

I'd also try black/blue, all white, black/gold..maybe even all blue. with a few strands of white.

I wouldn't be as worried about what color but more the kind of blades. Either colorado, indiana, or my favorite OKLAHOMA! I would go with a chartreuse/blue gill color personally.

white white and more white ,chartreuse works and so does blue but pruple nice to stay with the darks or go really light

they will produce. Stained water is not the same as muddy water. If you have a size 5, 6, 7 willowleaf, you bet it produces enough vibration. The thing with willowleafs is that they typically fish faster than a colorado due to less resistance.

Bigger blades, brighter colors. I throw a lot of chartreuse, char/white, white down here.

Mnavarro, the catch with spinnerbaits is that, as most probably you have seen, there´s not much to choose from, spinnerbaits come in a few selection of colors opposed to other baits, worms come in a gazillion colors, crankbaits too, there´s so much to choose from that you don´t even know where to start. This means that spinnerbait skirt color is not that important, what is important is the blades, it´s type and shape; the trend in the replies point and show it, BLADES is the important thing about spinnerbaits.

In my personal experience you can´t go wrong with:

Chartreuse/white
White
Black

If you are only limited to one type of blade a single Colorado will do the trick in the vast majority of the conditions, the blade can make it all, you can burn it or retrieve it at arthritic snail pace, it helicopters on the fall, from the surface to the bottom that blade will work fine.

Weight: 3/8 oz is the perfect one for all applications, casts well and sinks fast.

If you want to present a larger target just slip a jig trailer, a plastic craw, a plastic frog, even a grub or a plastic worm will work and they do not interfere with the spinning of the blade.

The one willow blade is alright and I've had luck with it. The Oklahoma blade is a nice blade for that. You might also put a grub on the end of the spinnerbait.

it depends,i would use red and chartruse with 2 BIG hammered gold colorado or oklahoma blades.

they may but if you have 2 huge willow leafs you get just as much vibration even more and you get double the flash, this bait is simply a big fish lure, I dont think i have cought one fish on this thing that didnt weight more than 2#'s.

but when i am talking big colorado blades i mean blades that are 2.5 inches in diameter they are huge

but if you have 2#7 willows on it will give prabably even more vibration and twice the flash. Belive me i have tried both.
