seen one better than that same idea though he had foam chunks 2x6 feet roped togather to a lawn chair he had a lawn mower engine mounted on a bracket and had a wooden propeller attached -think air boat-.and i seen him out about 1/4 mile from shore .

The funny thing about that pic is in principle its a damn good idea and I wish I had thought of it. Now if you get caught up in a storm in that thing you are in severe trouble cause the center of gravity is gonna be very high, but for a pond I could see that thing working well.
