Well first off fish dont have furr. ;D I think the red hooks are better for just the little spice it adds to your lure nut in dingy water I wouldn't think it would help enough to go out a buy only bleeding baits.

I bought a pack to use but haven't fished them yet.I have added a few red strands to my spinnerbait skirts for years, don't know if it helps, but it can't hurt.I personally hate the red hook idea,I wish I could find the Daiichi hook around here that wasn't red anymore. P N J
