Wait a sec, by asking what our favorite country songs are, you're suggesting that we all like country. Definitely not.

Geographically speaking, you would not think that Maine has a lot of country stations.

Logically thinking, you would be incorrect.

I don't really like it too much, but some of my friends do.

I pretty much like anything country except Shania Twain (Long story) but if I had to choose just one, It would be:

Friends in Low Places-Garth Brooks.

Well I'm gonna miss her
When I get home
But right now I'm on this lakeshore
And I'm sittin' in the sun
I'm sure it'll hit me
When I walk through that door tonight
That I'm gonna miss her
Oh, lookie there, I've got a bite

Lonestar, as a general rule I assume people from the state of tennessee, mostly the eastern half are inbreds. I will make an exception for Nashville which is a lovely city in most areas, and I will say that although Memphis is corrupt I doubt that most of the naturalized citizens are inbred.

On country music, I really like rock music...but there are a few overlapping areas. Johnny Cash is cool but there are many others I respect. I don't like the Shania Twain, Kenny Chesney crowd because they are obvious pop. One rock band I like with some real country influences is the White Stripes. They even do a great cover of a song called Jolene, which I heard is a Dolly Parton song.

Well, just cause you're from Nashville, I'm not gonna assume that you're inbred. But the rest of Tennessee is. "If your family tree does not branch... you might be a redneck"

If country music=inbreeding, then new rock=complete lack of creativity and inspiration. Sorry after the early to mid nineties rock took a major fall. Except for some of the long term bands-U2,Aerosmith,Metallica,Etc. The best thing that happened recently was Janes Addiction getting back together. 8)

Most people say that I have redneck qualities. Most of my family has lived in East Tennessee since the 1830's so I guess I am part inbred. My dad is from memphis so they decided to live away from both sides of the family. They decided to live in Nashville. I love east Tennessee since most of my roots are there and all of my cousins are there too.

WTL: I was in Memphis visiting this past weekend and I agree with you that it has gone all to hell in the city. Now most of the white people have moved out east. Memphis city limits now has an 80% black population.

But my family tree in East Tennessee does branch (Hulapoper). I do not agree with the comments that most of east tennessee's population are inbreds. All of my relatives have stayed in east Tennessee and have been there for hundred's of years. All of their family trees branch also.
