Shore fishing a resivoir
any tips and tricks
water calrity-super clear temp-not sure air temp is around 45 rocky sandy bottom some logs near the shore the resivoir is Round Valley if any one has ever fished it |

well if the air temp is 45 the water temp should be fairly cold so go with a slow presentation also use a crawdad crank(work it very slow if used) or a craw type bait around the rocks. and try to jig the timber and logs cause the water near them will be warmer than the rest. what ever you use, work it SLOW .

With clear and cold water, go with a drop shot rig.Use small baits and work in sooooooooooo slow.

Man I would throw a weightless lizard all over the timber, and use a suspending jerk bait with lots of pauses. around any of the rocks or vegetation.

power
to figure the water temp average the lows for the week -low 40's- water temp will be in the low 40's and heat up a couple of degrees late in the day. this is sort of a guide line but it tends to get close enough for shore fishing. it may warm up as much as 5 -10 degrees depending on sun condition's.. zooker
