Which reel to buy??? Help

I got a 160.00 dollar gift cert for Cabelas ;D so I was looking at a couple of reels and can't seem to decide which one to buy. Any suggestions on the two???
I was looking at the Pflueger Trion and the Quantum AC500CX. Thanks for any help.

I've never used either of those reels, but I think you would be pleased with either one. For what it is worth, I have used a Pflueger baitcaster (Solara) and I thought it was a great reel. Also, I only use Pflueger spinning reels for bass, pike, and walleye and they have held up well for three seasons and I don't see them quitting on me anytime soon.

All that being said, I don't have much experience with Quantum other than a few cheap spinning reels a few years ago. But, I do know that KVD endorses them and so does Bill Dance so they gotta be great right!

The Trion definatly, they are great reels.

ebook, if ya liked the Solara, you will LOVE the Trion, or the President.

Perkdog65, i would not even consider the quantum. Go with the Trion. They are absolutly amazing reels for the money.Pfluegers are all i will use anymore.

Thanks for the advise guys...i was kind of leaning to the Pflueger any way... so maybe in a week or so i will put in the order and have it just in time for the spring. ;D

Quantum makes the PT energy series and it retails for, well guess what ---160.00.
Thats what I use and they are great reels.

I think both reels are fine products. I liked the Solara reel better than the trion but was just my opinion. Quantum has the best reputation for standing behind their products. I would buy the Quantum , but I own or owned both brands and couldn't complain on either choice. P N J

buy the curados, the reels are well than more worth the money you wont be dissapointed ......... Scott R

I have an Quantum PT and love it, Mine was only like 100 bucks. Its all in what you're used too.

Quantum makes two seperate Energy Series reels.
One is appx. $100 and the other is $160.
