Default Just Call JB the New BaitMonkey Jr.

OK,
Â*So I broke down today out of desperation,
Â* I needed new line and lots of it.
I also wanted to try all the new stuff mentioned in here
Â* everyday
And was pretty impressed with what I saw in the tikki sticks, flukes, some crawls, and hooks. Plus I noticed the line they sell today is thinner in diameter than 5 years ago..that was a pleasant surprise.
I got new line on all 7 rods and 2 spinning. I put on 10 lb low visiblity on the spinning .
Â*So how in the house is the local tikki stick pro?
Â*I know how to rig em and fish em'
I wanna know does anyone have good luck with that one that is multicolored?
I started to pick it up but went with some brown looking Â*tikki....
I was supposed to go buy a new propane grill tank and the gas, instead I hit the tackle store and get 60 bucks worth of soft plastics LOL
its great! 8) <-me after buyingÂ* Â* Â* Â* Â* Â* Â* Â* Â* Â* Â* Â* Â* Â* Â* Â* Â* Â* Â* Â* Â* Â* Â* Â* Â* Â* Â* Â* :<-wife

the bait monkey is telling me to buy a skirt kit and bulk jigs to start making my own instead of paying 2.50 a pop. sounds ok to me. when i first when to bass pro shops in gurnee mills, IL, i didnt have no bait monkey. it was more like a damn bait GORILLA. i didnt even see what i got until i got home. took me two trips to finally shake him off me. i mean, we got a cablea's not 3 miles from my house, but they ain't got nothin on bass pro shops. i got these YUM Dingers in pink/lemon swirl, kinda like pink and orange, like sherbet colored orange. my friends all laughed at me and called it an impluse buy. i took them out today, first cast wacky rigged, nailed one. they look alot better once you get them in the water, it kinda tints the color the right way.

That multi colored one has small broad streaks of dark orange, punkin, yellow brown i think
I wonder how color blind people tell whats what if you take it out of the bag to store in the tackle box?

JB, rigging and fishing Tiki Sticks is easy. I fish them either T-rigged with no weight or Wacky rigged, although one of my buddies caught quite a few recently T-rigging them with a 1/8th oz. sinker. If you t-rig them they are real effective when you dead stick them. Of all the colors I haveI've caught more on a watermelon/chartreuse swirl and baby bass/pearl swirl than any other colors. Last 4th of July I was throwing the watermelon/chartreuse swirl and was throwing it up on a hydrilla mat and pulling it off into the water. Caught two 4s, a 3, a 2, and a bunch of 1s. Too bad I wasn't fishing a tourney ;D. Needless to say they are one of my favorite soft plastics.

I liked the amount of sticks ya got for the money

Its just like everything else, your fav worm colors
are going to be your fav stick colors if fished in same
waters where the purples, browns and greens are natural and most productive

JB, If you can find the Bamboo sticks, try them too. They are alot fatter than a tiki stick, and they look like they are swimming they fall so slow through the water.I can't find them here, had to import them through people here on the site. ;D P N J

Rebbasser, I had to get a oil filter today and ended up with 30 lb powerpro, put it on a Quantum accurast PT reel to go flipping jigs tomorow since I haven't used the reel since I bought it. I can't find Tuf-Line anywhere around here, but may not have to if the power pro works as well. P N J
