Haynesn, I fish a 2/0 circle hook with tiki sticks or senko style baits. They work very well for me ,but remember not to set the hook, just reel down and the hook will set itsself. Alot of people give up because they can't help but to set the hook and they miss the fish more often than not. ;D P N J

I don't care for any circle hook. Just my preference.

Circle hooks are great for live bait, like shiners. Since bass tend to inhale these baits, they dont swallow the circle hook and you get a good hook set

Thats what makes the circle hooks great, they don't gut hook a fish as a rule, even when they are swallowed as pressure is applied, they slide out to the pressure of the mouth and hook in the jaw . I have never seen a circle hook gut hook a fish yet. That is why I started using them. P N J

Get some Splitshot dropshot hooks by Gamakatsu they are really sharp and i don't miss fish on them at all when wacky rigging or dropshotting

I hope you aren't using circle hooks on your minnow? If so, you're asking that minnow to carry a hook twice its weight. A little aberdeen hook as all you need for a minner.
