FREAK,
I have not used the C-rig rods, but I have several G-Loomis rods and think they are one of the best rods on the market. They are a little pricey, but IMO they are worth it. Even the GL-2 series is a very nice rod for the price.

I own a 7'6" salt water rod that I use for trout and redfishing. Might be the most sensative rod I own, but I don't get to use it too much since I have found bass fishing and live 3-4 hours from the coast. If you want to spend the money, its worth it, I think.

I only have a GL-2 and it's a Fabulous rod. 8) As for c-rigging, well I prefer St Croix for that application

JackL,

How does St. Croix defer from a G-loomis. ???

freak,

In my opinion, the Loomis rods are a little lighter and balance slightly better than the St. Croix in comparable models.

I agree on the lighter, haven't had enough experience to say about the balance. The reason I prefer them is the sensitivity and backbone seems to be better. For a c-rig I want a sensitive rod, with plenty of backbone in it. Again this is just MY preference, not everyones.
