Launched around dawn with an old friend and partner who was finally getting out after prostate surgery. Meant much to me to be out there with him.
I pointed the Pantera for the left finger of Turkey Cove (he made some snide crack about the unlikelihood of success there. That's why he caught five, including a NICE smallie there... ![]() ![]() Tried the right side of the right finger, zilch. Exited the cove and went left down the main lake bluff for mebbe two hundred yards...zilch. Started across lake to fish north side at park near Jacob's Creek. Too windy, so went back to LEFT side of RIGHT digit of Turkey. I caught seven there, all on Wacky-rigged 5" Tiki Stix (or RiggySticked TikiWacks, what-tever!) He boloed. Total caught and released: 14 Great day with a good guy. Wonderful to see him doing so well and enjoying his first bassin' trip in several months. F.Rod This two days in a row can get ya' but I'm ready to do it again! |

I know the feeling when your fishing buddy takes ill. My buddy was stuck down with lymes and it took six months to get him back fishing. He never lost his touch for the worm and spinnerbait.. Good work ..
