Went out today and found 25 mph winds with gusts to 40. I didnt dare take the paddleboat out, i would of been beached in a matter of seconds.
with a few showers here and there, i managed 11, only got pics of 6 because it was raining about half of the time. biggest went about 2 pounds. no big ones today, seems like this colder weather had turned them off for the year. this first one, when i caught it, it was bleeding out of its "Hole". is this a result of spawning?

Good Fishin and Tight Lines,
Texasbasser

does anyone know if the bleeding of the first basswas a result of spawning? It was bleeding out of its "underhole". I would'nt think they would be spawning right now though...

I don't know, tb. During the spawn the tail will often get bloody, but not what you are describing.
