Okay I opened up my pinnacle to see what the heck went on....everything appears to be alright except a break broke off or something...I removed all the breaks...pinnacle has a different system...and it is smooth and appears to be in okay condition but I have no breaks in the reel because I don't think it will work...I still have the cast control knob on the reel side to work with....anyone have an educated enough thumb where they take all the breaks off for casting? Looks like this is what I am gonna be doing...I think Zooker does this?

What do you mean a brake broke ? You can lock them in , or unlock them, they will slide on a post attached to your spool. They may have been locked in, I know my Abu reels came that way. the more weights you unlock, the more braking pressure you have. Also the spool tension knob on the side will help you adjust the casting. I've been looking at it all morning and there is a metal ring that holds the brakes down......I think it is in the newer modles...anyhow this thing broke and the breaks all come off and will fall out.....I thought at first I did something but it looks like I got a lemon....its going back where I got it no matter what.....

Sorry I got this mess started but I have noticed that a lot of people don't "edit" and correct their mistakes. Is it important? That's for you to decide. I have to deal with students who don't care about spelling and grammar so I'm used to it from teenagers. You wonder where it comes from?
Flyrod - Grammaticians are ???? Would you be meaning grammarians? (Sorry but I couldn't resist. Thanks for your input.) And yes I used the "Edit" on this post to correct a typo. |

According to my sources, each stepladder must be a minumim of 8' in length to be added to the daily creel, unless stepladder is of the aluminum variety, in which it must be 6' to be added to the daily limit of 5 in aggregate.
