Who here can relate to this?
I work in the IT department of a company in Charlotte. Now, everyday I run into issues that I have to use the internet to research what could be the problem that is causing these issues. I cannot count the number of times that I have run up on forums, or chat rooms where every person in there tells someone who is having any problems to download this program and that program; thinking that they are the know-it-alls of the internet world. I do not claim to know everything, but I do know what tools to use if my computer gets hit by something. If a person is going to try and help someone who just got hit by the nastiest trojan on the net QUIT TELLING THEM TO DOWNLOAD 10 DIFFERENT PROGRAMS TO REMOVE IT!!!! THEY DO NOT WORK!!!! Better yet, let me give you my number, call me and I'll come over and remove it the correct way and charge you 50 bucks an hour to do it.
I'll get off my rant now. Here, someone else can have the soapbox now.

Thanks. Thatwould be exactly the method I would use, so you just possibly saved me a load of cash in the unlucky situation I get a virus I can't specically relate, but I'm sure people in every business have to deal with people like that....

Ah, I didn't even notice that you were giving away the soapbox.....hmmm.....Anybody else highly offended by the negative use of the word redneck to describe anyone who hunts and/or fishes and/or drives an american made truck and/or listens to country music and/or supports our troops and/or knows the history of the rebel flag and/or has a southern accent? Cuz that burns me up. Alright....passing it on

A little off topic, but I found these really funny: http://tv.truenuff.com/mac/ some language may not be safe for work, depending on where you work. |
