Cool Riverhill 2-19-07

with74 degree temps outside, it was pretty much the best conditions you can ask for. Fishinfortune called me at 4:30, and we started fishing crankbaits in 13 feet of water. after an hour, all we had to show was 3 dinks, no pics. Once it started to get darker and a little cooler, FF caught a nice crappie He accidentaly got it, by cranking his crank all the way in, until about 5 feet from shore, he let it float back up. This turned out to bethe best method for them, they wouldnt even hit crappie jigs. I got 4 crappie, FF got 5. Here are the pics of the biggest ones. Soon after, the crappie bite slowed down. Then, This hawg hit my firetiger crank. It was 6 pounds, 7 ounces on FF'S Digital Scale. I Havent checked out the forum calculator, ill do that later. Right before it hit, I also caught this nice 4 pounder, please forgive the stupid pic, I had it set on timer lol.

This is only a little piece of spring for me Cant wait for this upcoming season.

Default Wow!

Great Fish! Keep the update and the pics coming - it's as close to real fishing as we'll get up here for a long time. What crankbait were you using (color)? Where were you? looks like golf course?

thanks, if we keep this weather up you will be seeing alot more lol. I was using a walmart crankbait I got for a buck in firetiger color. deep diving wobble. I caught it on the biggest lake in the golf course i live on, its about 5 acres. There are smaller ponds about 1 acre or less around it.
