As most of you know, my first tournament was this past Saturday. I didn't catch any fish, but neither did most of the people fishing. I did have one bite though. Not that that matters. There were 25 people fishing, and only 5 people caught fish. Most everyone didn't even get a bite. I don't feel so bad, that I didn't catch anything, because hardly anyone caught anything.
I threw everthing I had with me. Crank baits, spinnerbaits, plastics, etc. I fished as slow as possible. Matter of fact, if I fished any slower, I would have been going backwards. All I can look forward too is Buggs Island is coming up next month. I am hoping to fair better there. From what I hear, it is a great place to fish. If you were wondering, We didn't find any water above 47 degrees, it was high tide when we got there.
One good thing to come out of Saturday, was I got a lot of practice in with my baitcaster, which I desperately needed. Better luck next time right. I will get them next time.
