That is a fine mount, and fish. I however would prefer to see it coming up towards the table top, like it's about to blow up on a topwater bait, just my opinion of course.

I thought about that, but every tom, dick, and harry has one comin up with it's mouth open and all that. I wanted this to look as real as possible. You can't tell by the photos, but the fins are wavy, the bait is complete with line, hook, and weight. And everything (except the glass of course) came from the lake where i caught the fish. Also, this is pretty close to how i caught the fish, so i wanted to represent that too.

I added the senko, but no it wasn't moved. I threaded a piece of wire throught the senko, leaving a bout 1 inch out the end to peg it to the bottom, that way i can bend the wire and make it look like it's floating instead of just lying on the bottom. I actually built the entire table as you see it, complete with bait, then i took it to the taxidermist and he fitted the fish to the table (cuz it was 28" long). RSA, i didn't catch it on a lizard, or a senko for that matter...but i'm a little to sneaky to put the real bait in there...it's all about secrets sometimes.

I've thought about making those tables for the taxidermist that mounted the fish. He said if he were to order something like that it would be around $500 for the table alone. I told him if he ever needed one made, i'd make it for $400. Afterall, the entire thing cost me about $50 bucks to make, not counting the time put in (about 8 hrs).
